Golf Fitness Training
I was lucky enough to learn the game of golf at a young age. We lived next to a golf course and the driving range balls often ended up on our property. I would pick up the balls and return them to the golf course in exchange for rounds of golf and range time.
More recently I find myself coaching Girls Golf and running the summer junior golf program at our country club as well as the elementary after school camp. Early on in coaching I realized the importance of stabilization and resistance training for both myself and my athletes. You can’t have good mechanics without proper core stabilization and overall mobility.
Improving your stability, strength, and mobility is just as valuable as buying a new driver or investing in lessons with a golf pro. It’s no surprise that we lose flexibility and muscle tone as we age. Focusing on your golf fitness will make the game more enjoyable at any age.
